First-Aid Disco

October 16, 2008

Ok, imagine this…you are out to dinner at a restaurant and someone at a table on the other side of the place suddenly grabs their chest and falls over.  It’s cardiac arrest.  He’s gonna die without CPR.  Fortunately, there is a doctor in the house.  He runs over, rolls up his sleeves, gets down in [...]

New Neck

August 19, 2008

I was planning on having Warmoth build me a neck for my baritone project, but I found a Deep 6 neck by wdmusic on ebay for $200 cheaper this weekend, so I bought it.  It should be here next week.  This guitar may be playable soon.

Parts!

July 25, 2008

Guitarfetish.com delivered most of my baritone parts this week.  I have assembled most of the guitar body as seen here:

I routed a cavity between the neck and bridge pickups and between the bridge pickup and the control cavity.  I installed the electronics and wired the pickups (they work, yea!).  I need to fill the old [...]

Squire ‘51 Baritone

Thumbs Up for Ken Glastre

April 4, 2008

I got my Martin back from the shop yesterday.  Ken did a great job.  The best part about his work is that he is super cheap.  (Well, maybe that’s the second best thing; he’s also really good)  He reset my action after I screwed it up by installing a new saddle, cut the nut deeper, [...]

You Can Tuna fish….

April 3, 2008

This is an interesting idea for an onboard electric guitar tuner.  Too bad it would be a pain to use on my semi-hollow since there would be no good way to get inside the cavity to change the battery…

It Came Today

March 28, 2008

The keyboard arrived today.  It is at my house as I type.  It’s a Bible study night tonight, so I will probably have to wait until tomorrow to play with it.  Oh well…I can read the manual in bed tonight

Missed it by THAT much…

March 27, 2008

I gave Joanna very strict orders yesterday to stay at home and sign for the keyboard when it came.  It didn’t come.  I figured it would be here today, so Jo waited till about 11 to go out to the store which she really need to do and Fedex just happened to come by 5 [...]
